Art | Project: Interactive Animation

Right now I'm working on a project where we have to make a "bridge" between the works of two artists. I chose the artists Thomas Huber and Richard Prince. Thomas Huber is part a surrealist painter, part a filosofer. He has a theory about the "pictural room" within a painting. Mostly he works with several layers within those "pictural rooms". He wants to extract a 3d space from the painting.

Richard Prince is more like a kind of popart photographer and painter, who uses modern objects like electric guitars, Harley Davidsons and Biker chicks in his photo's. He also made several paintings with just nurses placed in vague surroundings.

For this assignment I made some collages in photoshop, keeping in mind the bridge that is gonna have to be made. The timeless theories of Huber versus the modern objects of Prince. Eventually, the collages will evolve into an interactive animation, where the viewer can decide where he wants to go in picture, so that he or she can enter a different "room" or "world" with a simple click on the mousebutton.
